Galvanised Steel Wire Mesh
What is wire mesh?
Strength, squared
With its neat formation of regular squares, wire mesh hardly needs an introduction. It’s incredibly useful stuff, being utilised everywhere from farms and factories, to architecture and art. The uses for this versatile material are endless, which is why we provide it in two varieties: galvanised steel mesh and copper wire mesh. You can also choose from a broad range of sizes and apertures, or take advantage of our free cutting service and have your metal wire screen trimmed down to just as much as you need, with no minimum order. The mesh material you choose depends entirely on what you plan to use it for: galvanised steel is great at resisting the elements, for example, whilst copper is a stellar conductor of electricity and heat. If you’re not sure which of our meshes best meets your requirements, get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise you.

Galvanised steel door kick plates offer many advantages for various industries and applications. Here are some of the key benefits:- Corrosion Resistance: Our galvanised steel kick plates are highly resistant to rust and corrosion due to the galvanisation process, which involves coating the mild steel plate with a layer of zinc. This protective layer ensures long-lasting protection for your doors even in harsh environments.
- Durability: Designed to withstand significant wear and tear, galvanised steel kick plates are extremely durable and provide lasting protection, reducing maintenance costs over time.
- Versatility: Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, these metal kick plates can be used in a wide range of settings, from commercial buildings and industrial facilities to residential spaces.
- Low Maintenance: The galvanised finish requires minimal maintenance, saving time and effort in upkeep.
Popular uses for Galvanised Steel Kick Plates
Galvanised steel kick plates are widely used in various settings due to their durability and protective qualities. Here are some common applications:- Commercial Environments: Galvanised steel door kick plates are primarily seen in commercial settings such as offices, schools, hospitals, and retail stores, where doors are subject to frequent use and potential damage.
- Toeboards: Kick plates can also be used as toeboards to comply with British Standards/Euro Norms (BS/EN) requirements. These are typically applied to the bottom of handrail systems to meet BS EN 14122 standards or on mezzanine floors in factories and warehouses to prevent small items from being knocked over the side of elevated walking areas.
- Finger Plates: Smaller sizes of galvanised steel kick plates can be used as finger plates, fixed near the handle or keyhole of a door for added protection and durability.
